Angela King
Mother. Foundation. A Symbol of Hope for Future Generations.
Angela's story is one of resilience and redemption.
Known globally for enduring incarceration while pregnant,
she made the courageous choice to choose life, giving birth to her child under unimaginable circumstances—chained to a bed with a sheriff standing guard. After years of service to her community and mentorship from her godmother, Evangelist Alveda King, the niece of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Angela’s perseverance led to a pivotal moment when President Donald J. Trump granted her a full unconditional pardon. Inspired by her journey, he enacted a law making it illegal to shackle incarcerated women during childbirth.
Her personal experience fuels the mission to serve women who feel chained by their circumstances—whether by poverty, lack of education, or the weight of societal pressures suggesting abortion as their only option. Her unwavering commitment to life has earned her the honor of being called the godmother to 68 babies, whose lives she helped save by providing hope, resources, and support to their mothers.
